Description

The Family Engagement Administrative Credential is a 12 week online process.  It consist of one core online courses, one online exams, portfolio completion and Team Assessments. The credential is designed for Head Start professional who are responsible for collecting, reporting, managing and monitoring daily compliance issues. Candidates enroll in the credential program who are new to Head Start or have less than 5 years experience in a content area. The administrative credential is designed as a valid and reliable measure of the candidate's understanding of the federal, state and local regulations for their content area. Candidates enrolled in this program acquire a skill set of the best practices and procedural methods for implementing regulations and for monitoring. The PFCE Administrative Credential  is a "training certification" of qualifications of skilled professional in Parent, Family and Community services. Participants at this level learn to access leadership skills used in the Family Service area. This credential focuses on the dimensions of leadership in Head Start and participants recognize their role in the leadership process.  Here the concepts of shared values are linked with the process of a leadership approach to service delivery.  Participants are provided with an opportunity to identify leadership roles in achieving a program's mission as well as viewing themselves as social leaders to better understand how to work holistically with their community.

The Family Engagement Admininstrative Credential  is designed to be a "plus" feature of certifying  abilities and represents exceptional skill level in the national Head Start community. The Family Engagement Administrative Credential  is a "training certification" of qualifications of skilled professional in Family Services. Participants at this level learn to access leadership skills used in the Family Engagement service area. This credential focuses on the dimensions of leadership in Head Start and participants recognize their role in the leadership process.  Here the concepts of shared values are linked with the process of a leadership approach to service delivery.  Participants are provided with an opportunity to identify leadership roles in achieving a program's mission as well as viewing themselves as social leaders to better understand how to work holistically with their community.

Students enrolled in this level must meet the education requirement of 15 CECs (Continuing Education Credits) or 24 clock hours of training.
