The course is designed to help offer Head Start staff a process for reflecting on their own practice, assessing difficult situations, and designing interventions through joint problem solving. This course will help Head Start staff understand their own behavior, their assumptions, and their relationships with children with challenging behaviors and with each other. Such an understanding reinforces the importance of teamwork, and provides the necessary foundation for developing strategies and using techniques that support children with challenging behaviors and their families.
